Born a Crime is the story of a playful young boy who grows into a restless young man as he fights to find himself in a world and system where he is not accepted.

It also tells the story of his relationship with his daring, stubborn, and zealous mother who was his teammate.

She was a woman determined to save her son from poverty, violence, and abuse that would ultimately threaten her own life.
