In this book, Ireke is a regular man who is looking for the significance of life like the majority of us. It follows his peculiar however exciting journey from beggar to Oba (King). By self control, moral restraint and sheer favorable luck, he wins over misfortune to turn into a commended warlord and honorable man. His story runs alongside by a tale told by his dead mother.
