An intense parody of sorts on government, marriage, and psychology. Tawfiq al-Hakim is one of Egypts most famous playwright, and also one of its most important essayists and novelists. While reading the play there was a feeling of ambivalence towards the theme of the play. The play, although intense, will give you a calm feeling as if you are a kid reading your favorite story book.

Delightful, confident Ifemelu sets out toward America, where regardless of her scholarly achievement, she is compelled to wrestle with being dark for the first time. Calm, smart Obinze had would have liked to join her, however with post-9/11 America closed to him, he rather dives into a risky, undocumented life in London. After fifteen years, they rejoin in a recently democratic Nigeria, and reignite their passion for one another and for their country.

The book - We Should All Be Feminists can be read as a preliminary to get women's liberation. While the writer shares her experiences of confronting gender-based discrimination and those of her loved ones in Nigeria, the issues introduced in the book are as yet general in the sense, individuals across the world can identify with them. The two aspects of the books that I have basically centered on in this review are: the stereotypical idea of feminism and the word feminist; and the process of normalization. Different issues talked about by the creator are: invisibilization, pay gap, raising young ladies and young men in an unexpected way, culture and gender.
